Why does this happen? The natural oils that help keep the skin soft and flexible during pregnancy continue to be generated during the first weeks after birth, while your hormones gradually return to their usual balance.


During pregnancy, about two out of every five women experience the appearance of excessive pigmentation in multiple areas of their body, such as the neck, armpits, thighs, nipples and surrounding skin, as well as in the genital area.
